After months of reflection and internal discussion, we have made the choice to drop the 206 Stars category from the Stars Championship Program for the 2023 season.
The 206 pro category has produced some of the best racing moments seen in the #stars karting program, and the competitors and families who have joined us these last three years will always carry a special place in the heart of our series.
We feel that the #racebriggs 206 market is being served well in more cost efficient programs, and while we have always seen an incredibly high level of competition in the category at Stars events, we don't feel that there are enough 206 competitors looking to compete at that level to continue featuring it in our program.
We have already communicated this news directly with most of our 206 Stars contingent, and we are excited that many of the competitors will be moving their entries over to the @iameusaeast KA Stars division.
We understand that this news may not be what some competitors are looking for, but with all decisions we make we ask you to understand that we try our best to analyze all of the information available, communicate directly with the community, and simply make the best decision we can for the progression of the program.
